Brentwood Union School District Announces Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten Registration for 2018-2019


KINDERGARTEN – Eligible child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2018

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN – Eligible child must be 5 years old between September 2 and December 2, 2018

The Kindergarten Readiness Act (SB 1381)

Please contact your resident school site beginning February 14, 2018 to schedule your registration appointment.

Appointments will be held March 6, 7 and 8, 2018.

Students who reside within district boundaries may apply for enrollment in any school in the district. Applications for Intradistrict Transfer will be accepted during the period of January 8, 2018 through March 1, 2018 for the next school year, or for students entering the district after March 1st, within 5 days of enrollment. If you wish to return to the school from which you were displaced, or if you wish to attend another school for any reason, you must submit an Intradistrict Transfer request.
Applicants who submit an Intradistrict Transfer request no later than 4:00 p.m., March 1, 2018 will be notified on April 1, 2018. Forms are available at all school sites and at the District Office beginning on January 8, 2018. Intradistrict Transfer Forms MUST be returned to any school office, or the District Office, no later than 4:00 p.m., March 1, 2018 to be considered by the April 1st notification date.
Intradistrict Transfer requests on behalf of students who have been displaced from the closed schools will be considered.
If space becomes available, Intradistrict Transfers for siblings of students enrolled at these schools for the 2018-2019 school year will be considered.

Los estudiantes que residen dentro de los límites del distrito pueden solicitar su inscripción en cualquier escuela del distrito. Se aceptarán solicitudes de transferencia dentro del distrito durante el período del 8 de enero 2018 al 1 de marzo 2018 para el próximo año escolar, o para estudiantes que entran al distrito después del 1 de marzo, dentro de los 5 días de la inscripción. Si desea volver a la escuela de la cual se le desplaza, o si desea asistir a otra escuela por cualquier razón, usted debe presentar una solicitud de transferencia dentro del distrito.
Los solicitantes que presenten una solicitud de transferencia dentro del distrito no más tarde de las 4:00 pm el 1 de marzo 2018 serán notificados el 1 de abril, 2018. Los formularios están disponibles en todas las escuelas, y en la Oficina del Distrito a partir del 8 de enero del 2018. Formas de transferencia dentro del distrito DEBEN ser devueltos a cualquier oficina de la escuela o la oficina del distrito, no más tarde de las 4:00 pm, el día 1 de marzo 2018, para ser considerados antes de la fecha de notificación, que es el 1 de abril.
Se tendrán en cuenta las solicitudes de transferencia dentro del distrito de los estudiantes que han sido desplazados de las escuelas cerradas.

Our See's Candy Fundraiser Kicks off on Monday, February 12th and we need your help to raise money, so we can continue to support classroom teachers, technology upgrades, contribute to field trip costs, put on family nights and host school events. The top 2 sellers of the school will receive See's lollipops and the top selling class will win a Pizza party! Important information:  

1) Fundraiser Starts: 2/12 

2) MONEY & ORDERS, MUST be turned in by February 28th, to your child's teacher or the front office 

3) Checks are made out to:  BRENTWOOD SCHOOL PARENTS CLUB or         BSPC 

4) Pick up orders in the MULTIPURPOSE ROOM on 3/14 from 11:30 - 2:00.

Please call the attendance line every time your student is absent at 513-6361. Please include student's name, your name, teacher's name, dates and reason for absence.  Thank you!

When you plan to be absent for 5 or more days:

Site-Based Independent Study - When a student will be absent for 5 or more days, an application (see SBIS forms under Helpful Forms) for Site-Based Independent Study may be filled-out and submitted to the front office no less than five days prior to the planned absence. Once approved, the student's teacher will prepare assignments to be completed during the absence. The assignments are due back to the teacher on the first day back to school after the planned absence. The student will receive full academic and attendance credit for all work completed.
